Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Florrie Jewellery. These terms and conditions explain how our online shop works and the terms that apply when you purchase a piece of jewellery from us.
We are a small independent business specialising in antique and vintage jewellery, and we want the buying process to be as straightforward as possible. If you have any questions about an item or these terms, please get in touch before placing your order.
1. About Florrie Jewellery
Florrie Jewellery is owned and operated by Nicola Adair, trading as Florrie Jewellery.
Business address: 18 The Buttermarket, Down Street, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, BT74 7DU
Email: florriejewellery@gmail.com
References to "we", "us" and "our" in these terms mean Florrie Jewellery. References to "you" and "your" mean the person purchasing from us.
2. Our jewellery
We sell antique, vintage and pre-owned jewellery. Every piece is individual and, unless otherwise stated, has had a life before coming to us.
We make every effort to describe each item accurately, including its age or period where known, materials, measurements, condition and any known repairs or alterations.
Because antique and vintage jewellery has been previously owned and worn, signs of age and use are to be expected. Minor marks, variations and imperfections may form part of a piece's character and history.
Any significant condition issues that we are aware of will be included in the individual product description.
Photographs are intended to show the item as accurately as possible. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen or device.
Where an item's age, maker, materials or provenance cannot be confirmed with certainty, we will make this clear in the product description rather than presenting an assumption as fact.
3. Ring sizes and alterations
Ring sizes are given in the product description where known.
Some antique and vintage rings can be resized, while others cannot or should not be altered because of their construction, setting, age or design.
If you require a different size, please contact us before purchasing and we will let you know whether resizing is possible and whether an additional charge may apply.
Any resizing or alteration requested by you and agreed with us will be confirmed before the work is carried out.
4. Product availability
All of our jewellery is unique unless specifically stated otherwise. This means that once a piece has been sold, it may not be possible to replace it with an identical item.
We reserve the right to correct obvious errors in product descriptions or pricing. If an item has been listed incorrectly due to an error, we will contact you before processing the order.
5. Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the item.
You will receive an order confirmation by email acknowledging that we have received your order. The contract between you and Florrie Jewellery is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted and the item is being prepared for dispatch.
We reserve the right to decline an order where, for example, an item is no longer available or there has been an obvious error in the listing or price. If payment has already been taken, it will be refunded in full.
6. Prices and payment
All prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling (£/GBP).
The price payable is the price shown when you place your order, together with any applicable delivery charge.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
Payment must be received before your order is dispatched.
7. Delivery
Delivery options and charges are shown at checkout before you place your order.
For UK orders, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm® unless otherwise stated.
For orders to the Republic of Ireland, we use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed unless otherwise stated.
Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees from Florrie Jewellery. Once your parcel has been handed to the delivery service, delays outside our control can occasionally occur.
We will provide tracking information where the service includes tracking.
Please make sure that your delivery address is correct when placing your order. We cannot be responsible for delays or additional costs caused by an incorrect address supplied by you.
8. Risk and delivery
Responsibility for the jewellery passes to you when it is delivered to you.
We will package jewellery carefully and use an appropriate tracked delivery service.
If a parcel appears damaged when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible and, where practical, retain the packaging and take photographs of the parcel and its contents.
9. Your right to cancel and return an online order
If you buy an item from us online, you normally have the legal right to change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the jewellery, without giving a reason.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the item to us.
Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details of how to make a return.
These cancellation rights are in addition to your legal rights if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of the law.
10. Faulty or incorrectly described items
Your legal rights are not affected by anything in these terms.
If an item is faulty, not as described or does not meet your legal rights as a consumer, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will discuss the appropriate remedy with you in accordance with your statutory rights.
11. Intellectual property
All photographs, text, graphics and other content on the Florrie Jewellery website are owned by or licensed to Florrie Jewellery unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Website information
We take care to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date. However, antique and vintage jewellery can sometimes have a history that cannot be fully established.
Where information about age, maker, materials, provenance or previous ownership is uncertain, we will make this clear in the listing.
13. Complaints
If you have a problem with an order or are unhappy with our service, please contact us at: florriejewellery@gmail.com
We will always try to resolve problems fairly and promptly.
14. Governing law
These terms and your purchase from Florrie Jewellery are governed by the law applicable in Northern Ireland.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order will be the terms displayed on our website at the time you place your order.
Returns & Refunds
We hope you love your Florrie Jewellery purchase. However, if you change your mind about an item bought online, you have the right to return it in accordance with the consumer cancellation rules.
Changing your mind
When you purchase jewellery from us online, you have 14 days from the day after you receive your order to let us know that you wish to cancel your purchase.
You do not need to give a reason.
Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to send the jewellery back to us.
To start a return, please email florriejewellery@gmail.com with your order number and let us know that you wish to cancel your purchase.
You can also use the cancellation form at the end of this policy.
Returning your jewellery
Please return the jewellery securely and in suitable packaging.
As antique and vintage jewellery is often delicate and unique, we strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service appropriate to the value of the item.
You are responsible for the cost of returning an item because you have changed your mind.
Please retain proof of postage until your refund has been processed.
The jewellery should be returned in the same condition in which you received it. You are entitled to handle the jewellery to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and how it works, in much the same way as you would be able to examine it in a shop.
If the jewellery has been damaged or its value has been reduced through handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund.
Refunds
Once the returned jewellery has been received, we will inspect it and process your refund.
We will refund the purchase price and the cost of the standard delivery service you originally selected.
If you choose a more expensive delivery option, we are only required to refund the cost of the standard delivery service.
We will normally issue your refund to the original payment method.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned jewellery or you have provided evidence that it has been sent back, whichever happens first.
Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described jewellery
If you believe that your jewellery is faulty, has been damaged before it reached you, or is not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at: florriejewellery@gmail.com.
Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs showing the issue.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this returns policy. Where an item is faulty or otherwise does not meet your legal rights, different remedies may apply.
Antique and vintage jewellery
Please remember that our jewellery is antique, vintage or pre-owned unless otherwise stated.
Signs of age and previous wear can be part of the character of these pieces. We describe significant condition issues in each listing and encourage you to contact us before purchasing if you would like any additional information or photographs.
Normal signs of age that have been accurately described in the listing are not considered faults. Should you wish for additional photographs to assess the condition of an item prior to purchase, please contact us directly and we will endeavour to provide the required photographs in order that you may make an informed decision prior to purchase.
Items that have been resized or altered
Upon purchase and receipt of an item from Florrie jewellery, please note that we may not be able to accept a return of the item for a refund if any alteration work has been undertaken. Therefore, should you wish to resize or alter the item in any way after receipt of your purchase, please ensure that you are entirely satisfied with your purchase before undertaking any alterations.
Where an alteration has been specifically requested by you, the cancellation rights relating to the original item may be affected once the work has begun or been completed. We will explain the position to you before agreeing to the alteration.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
