Who is Florrie?

I’m Nicola, the person behind Florrie Jewellery. Rather unsurprisingly, I’ve always loved jewellery - gold, silver, antique, vintage and modern. A true human magpie.

Throughout my career as a graphic designer, I’ve worked with all sorts of businesses, including an antique shop run by my aunt and uncle. Working alongside my Aunt Evelyn for several years truly ignited my love of antique and vintage jewellery, and gave me the opportunity to learn the stories behind the pieces.

When Evelyn finally hung up her loupe, she encouraged me to pick up where she left off. With her help and guidance, here I am.

A sepia-toned vintage photograph of a smiling woman with short hair, wearing a sailor-style top with a stripe on the collar, and playing with her hair while sitting.
A black-and-white photograph of a smiling woman with short, styled hair and a man with glasses and white hair, both dressed in formal attire, at a social gathering.
A woman with blonde hair wearing a pink and white striped shirt, smiling with arms crossed, standing in front of a white wall with a round wooden clock and a blue door.

And the name Florrie? Florrie was my grandmother and Evelyn’s mother - the woman without whom neither of us would be here. She is the beginning of our story, and the reason we are where we are today. It felt only fitting that this venture be named after the lady who connects us - our common thread and the first of three generations.

Just like the jewellery I source, Florrie is part of the story.

  • Some pieces are perfect for everyday wear, while others are a little more delicate due to their age. I’ll always give guidance where needed so you can feel confident wearing and caring for your piece.
